Chase has opened a limited-time 90,000-Avios welcome offer for the British Airways Visa Signature® Card, but applicants should not assume every Chase page carries it. The enhanced offer is available through a specific Chase landing page and ends October 28, 2026. New cardmembers must spend $5,000 on purchases within the first three months of account opening to earn the bonus.
That is 15,000 Avios more than the 75,000-Avios offer displayed on Chase’s standard British Airways card page at the time of verification, with the same $5,000 spending requirement. The difference makes the route used to apply unusually important: an applicant who starts from the ordinary product page may accept the smaller offer without realizing a stronger one is available.
The exact offer and eligibility rules
The limited-time page states that approved applicants can earn 90,000 Avios after $5,000 in qualifying purchases during the first three months. The card carries a $95 annual fee, which does not count toward the spending requirement.
Chase’s terms exclude current cardmembers and previous cardmembers who received a new-cardmember bonus on this card within the past 24 months. The account must remain open and not be in default when Chase fulfills the bonus, and the terms say to allow six to eight weeks after qualifying for the Avios to post.
Cash advances, balance transfers, person-to-person transfers, account-funding transactions, gambling transactions, cryptocurrency and other cash-like purchases do not qualify toward the threshold. Fees and interest are excluded as well. Cardholders must also maintain a U.S. address on their British Airways Club account for Avios earned through the card to post correctly.
The card earns 3 Avios per dollar on purchases made directly with British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia and LEVEL; 2 Avios per dollar on hotel accommodations booked directly with the hotel; and 1 Avios per dollar elsewhere. Chase also lists 2,500 anniversary Avios each year.
The valuable perks come with narrow rules
The British Airways Visa can be more than a one-year bonus vehicle, but its headline benefits reward a fairly specific traveler.
Cardholders receive access to a 10% discount on eligible British Airways flights originating in the United States when they follow the dedicated booking process and pay with the card. The discount applies to British Airways-operated flights, not ordinary codeshares, and the cardholder must travel.
The card also offers up to $600 per calendar year in Reward Flight statement credits: $100 for eligible economy or premium-economy bookings and $200 for eligible business- or first-class bookings, up to three credits. Those credits are not a general Avios rebate. The transatlantic portion must originate in the United States and be operated by British Airways, and the card must be used to pay the applicable taxes, fees and charges.
A Travel Together Ticket is available after $30,000 in purchases in a calendar year. That threshold is substantial, and earning the voucher should not be confused with eliminating the cash component of an award: taxes, fees and carrier charges still apply.
Who benefits
This offer is strongest for an applicant who can meet $5,000 of spending organically, is eligible under the 24-month restriction, and already understands how to use Avios. The British Airways card’s annual statement-credit benefit may be particularly useful to U.S.-based travelers who redeem Avios for British Airways-operated transatlantic flights and would otherwise pay the carrier’s often-significant cash charges.
The additional 15,000 Avios over the standard landing-page offer is meaningful because it requires no extra spending. Anyone already planning to apply should use the enhanced page and confirm that “90,000 Avios” appears before submitting an application.
Who should skip it
Skip this offer if reaching $5,000 in three months would require carrying a balance, manufacturing spend, or buying things earlier than planned. Interest can erase the value of the bonus quickly.
It is also a weak fit for travelers who rarely fly British Airways, do not want to manage a foreign-airline loyalty account, or expect every Avios redemption to have low cash surcharges. The card’s everyday earning is ordinary outside its airline and hotel categories, so the welcome offer alone does not make it the best long-term card for every household.
Applicants who recently held the card or earned its bonus should verify their dates before applying. Approval is separate from bonus eligibility, and the terms—not a marketing headline—control.
Awardtrail analysis
This is a good offer, not a blank check. The real story is not merely that 90,000 is larger than 75,000; it is that Chase is simultaneously showing different offers depending on the entry page. That creates an avoidable 15,000-Avios penalty for applicants who do not compare the final page in front of them.
Awardtrail’s view: apply only with a near-term plan for the spending requirement and at least one realistic use for Avios. Do not transfer other points speculatively or assign the bonus a cash value based on an aspirational redemption that has not been found. Award availability and the taxes, fees and carrier charges attached to British Airways awards can materially change the result.
Before applying, save the offer page, review the pricing and terms, and confirm the 90,000-Avios language, $5,000 requirement and October 28 end date. After approval, track the three-month deadline from the account-opening date rather than the card-arrival date, and leave time for purchases to post.

Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
