🧭 My Journey from Spreadsheet Chaos to Clarity

Before Awardtrail, my rewards strategy was a mess of spreadsheets, sticky notes, and calendar reminders. I was constantly worried I was missing a bonus deadline or forgetting to use a valuable card perk. It felt like a part-time job.

I built Awardtrail to be my personal mission control for credit card rewards. It's the free, simple app I always wanted, designed to answer the questions that kept me up at night:

  • Which sign-up bonus am I working on right now for my Amex Gold?
  • Am I on track to hit the $4,000 spend for my Sapphire Preferred?
  • When will I be under 5/24 so I can finally apply for that Chase Ink card?
  • Did I use this month's Uber credit from my Platinum card?

Now, the first thing I see when I log in is a complete, at-a-glance view of my entire rewards world. No more juggling five different banking apps. It’s all right here:

βœ… My Vital Signs
  • The bonuses I'm actively working on and my real-time progress.
  • A running total of all the amazing rewards I've earned over time.
  • Crucial reminders for card benefits that are about to expire (like my travel credits!).
  • My total annual fees across all cards, which helps me decide if a card is still worth keeping.

My partner and I play the rewards game as a team. Awardtrail is built for this "2-player mode." I added my wife as a managed person, and now I can track her cards, bonuses, and benefits right alongside my own. It makes it incredibly easy to coordinate our household's credit card strategy and decide who should apply for the next card.

🎯 Tracking Every Bonus, Never Missing a Point

The heart of Awardtrail for me is the bonus tracker. When I get approved for a new card, I add it here, and the app helps me keep my eye on the prize.

My Current Missions:
My Amex Platinum β†’ $1,200 / $8,000 spent, with
175,000 MR points
on the line.
Wife's Alaska Airlines Visa β†’ $2,500 / $3,000 spent, with a
70,000 mile bonus
just around the corner.

🎁 Getting Every Dollar from My Annual Fees

My premium cards come with amazing perks, but they were worthless when I forgot to use them. The benefit tracker changed that completely.

I can easily see and check off my monthly Uber credits, semi-annual Saks Fifth Avenue credits, and annual travel credits. Awardtrail helps me claw back hundreds of dollars in value, which makes paying those high annual fees an easy decision.

πŸ“… Applying with Confidence

I used to live in fear of the dreaded Chase 5/24 rule. Now, the smart estimators remove the anxiety from applying for my next card.

  • My 5/24 Status: I can see my current count and know exactly when I'll drop below the limit, which tells me the perfect time to apply for my next Chase card.
  • Amex 2/90 Rule: I track applications for myself and my wife to avoid an unnecessary denial by knowing when we're clear to apply for our next Amex cards.

πŸš€ Who I Built This For

I built Awardtrail for people like me, but also for people who are just starting out. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just got your first travel card, it's designed to bring clarity to the chaos.

  • Perfect for beginners looking to optimize their first few cards.
  • Powerful enough for travel hackers managing complex strategies.
  • Essential for anyone playing in "2-player mode" with a partner.
