Free Oura Ring Alert! Amex Plat Perk Makes Fitness Trackers Almost Free
Published on November 14, 2025, 8:59 PM
Heads up, Amex Platinum cardholders! There's a new perk in town: a $200 statement credit towards an Oura Ring purchase. If you're not familiar, the Oura Ring is a popular sleep and activity tracker. To snag the credit, you'll need to enroll through your Amex account online, and the purchase needs to be made directly on the U.S. Oura Ring website. Keep in mind that memberships, accessories, gift cards and purchases through third parties don't qualify for the credit. So, is this deal worth it? The latest Gen4 Oura Ring starts at $349, so while not completely free, the Amex credit brings it down to a much more palatable price. There are ways to save even more. Military members can use "GOVx" for a $50 discount, and CLEAR+ members can snag 10% off. If you're not picky about having the latest model, the Gen3 ring is priced at $199, making it essentially free after the Amex credit (you'll just need to cover sales tax). Plus, some folks are reporting success using PayPal to split payments across multiple Amex Platinum cards, potentially stacking credits for even bigger savings! Just remember the Oura membership fee applies after the one month free trial, costing either $6 monthly or $70 annually.
