Got Beef? You Might Be Owed Some Cash!
Published on January 5, 2026, 9:20 PM
Hey AwardTrail buddies, did you buy beef between 2014 and 2019? If so, you might be entitled to some settlement money! Apparently, some big beef processors like JBS, Cargill, National Beef, and Tyson Foods got accused of conspiring to limit beef supply and artificially inflate prices. While Tyson and Cargill deny wrongdoing, they've agreed to pay out $87.5 million to settle. So, if you purchased beef for your own consumption (not for business) during that August 1, 2014 - December 31, 2019 window, you can file a claim online. The amount you get depends on how much beef you bought and how many other people file claims. Honestly, with such a large pool of potentially eligible consumers, don't expect a windfall. But hey, free money is free money, right? The deadline to file is June 30, 2026 so you have some time. Go get that bread... or beef!
