Great news, Marriott Bonvoy members! Marriott just tweaked how you earn elite night credits at four of their brands: Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites, and Element. Previously, you only got one elite night for *every two* nights you stayed, and it was always rounded down. Ouch! Now, you'll earn half an elite night credit for *each* night. So, stay one night, get 0.5 elite night credits. Stay two nights, you get one full elite night credit, and so on. This is a major improvement, especially if you frequently stay at these brands for extended periods, as it will make earning (or re-earning) that precious elite status much quicker and less frustrating! This policy change will let you reach higher tiers, and unlock benefits like free breakfast, room upgrades, and bonus points.
