Rakuten (formerly Ebates) is offering a fantastic referral bonus, extended through December 31, 2025! New members who sign up through a referral link and spend $50 within 90 days will get a cool $50 bonus. Even better, the person who referred them also gets $50. This is the highest referral bonus we've seen from Rakuten, making it a super easy way to pad your travel fund.

Why should you care? Well, $50 is $50! It's practically a free night in a budget hotel or a fancy dinner on your next trip. Plus, Rakuten lets you earn cashback at tons of online retailers you probably already use. To easily hit that $50 spending requirement, consider clicking through Rakuten to Giftcards.com and purchasing a $50 gift card to places like Visa, Starbucks, or even Home Depot. It's a win-win.

Finally, remember that Rakuten also gives you the option to earn American Express Membership Rewards points instead of cashback. If you value MR points highly (hello, aspirational travel!), this could be an even sweeter deal. Time to refer your friends and family and start racking up those rewards!
