Chase Freedom Unlimited: $300 Bonus is Back! Should You Bite?
Published on December 12, 2025, 9:03 PM
Heads up, deal hunters! Chase is once again offering a $300 bonus on the Freedom Unlimited card when you spend $500 in the first three months. That's a solid chunk of change for relatively little spending. Plus, you'll still snag the card's regular rewards: 5% back on travel booked through Chase, 3% on dining and drugstores, and a cool 1.5% on everything else. So, is it worth jumping on? Well, this isn't the highest bonus we've ever seen on this card – there have been deals with extra perks like bonus cash back at grocery stores or gas stations. But $300 is a pretty straightforward and easy-to-grab reward. The big question is: are you under 5/24? That's Chase's rule that means you won't be approved if you've opened five or more credit cards (from any bank!) in the past 24 months. If you are under 5/24, and have a spot open, it may be worth considering if you value the Chase Ultimate Rewards ecosystem. Opening this card will take up one of your valuable 5/24 slots.
