Chase Ink Cards Get "Lifetime" Restrictions (But Don't Panic Yet!)
Published on November 21, 2025, 8:57 PM
Big news for anyone playing the Chase Ink card game: Chase has quietly added "lifetime language" to the Ink Business Preferred card. This means if you've had the Ink Preferred before, you might not be eligible for the signup bonus again. This follows similar changes they made to the no-fee Ink Cash and Unlimited cards, restricting those bonuses to once per lifetime as well. Now, before you freak out, there are a few key points to remember. First, the Ink Preferred and the Ink Cash/Unlimited cards are separate in this case. Getting the bonus on one doesn't disqualify you from getting the bonus on the other. Second, and more importantly, reports are showing that this "lifetime" rule isn't always being enforced. So, the best course of action? If you're eyeing that Ink Preferred, especially now that the bonus is temporarily bumped up to 100k points, just apply! Chase will give you a popup during the application process if you're not eligible for the bonus. No harm in trying, right?
