Lufthansa's Miles & More program has released its monthly Mileage Bargains for January 2026! Think discounted award flights, but only on select routes and dates. This month, US options seem limited, but AwardWallet's team sniffed out even cheaper alternatives to get to Europe using Miles & More miles - starting from an insanely low 88 miles plus the usual taxes and fees.

Why should you care? If you're sitting on a pile of Miles & More miles (maybe from a Star Alliance flight or a credit card transfer), this could be a way to snag a cheap flight. However, don't get too excited right away. Mileage Bargains aren't always the best deal. Availability can be tight, and those "taxes and fees" can sometimes sting. That's why the alternative options might actually be better for you.

Basically, it's worth checking out the details to see if any of the discounted routes line up with your travel plans, or if you're ready to book those alternative flights. But do your research and compare it against other award options and cash fares to ensure you're really getting the best bang for your buck (or, in this case, your miles!).
