Heads up, award trail blazers! Avianca LifeMiles, a popular program for snagging Star Alliance awards, is having a Black Friday flash sale! You can book select Avianca-operated flights for ridiculously low mileage rates, starting at just 2,430 LifeMiles. This is a steal!
The catch? You need to book by December 1, 2025, and travel must be completed by May 31, 2026. This means you have a solid window to find some sweet deals, especially if you're planning travel within South America, where Avianca has a strong presence. If you have LifeMiles sitting around or are looking for a way to use them up, now's the time to check out those Avianca routes.
Why does this matter? LifeMiles often has transfer bonuses from credit card programs (like Amex Membership Rewards or Capital One Miles), making it easier to accumulate a lot of miles quickly. This sale could be your chance to experience Avianca business class for a fraction of the usual cost or to explore new destinations without breaking the bank! Time to get booking!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
