Victory Capital is offering a bonus when you transfer assets to them from another brokerage or even a 529 education savings plan. Basically, if you move your money over, they'll give you some extra cash. The bonus ranges from $100 for transfers between $10,000 and $24,999, all the way up to $1,500 for transferring $1 million or more. The catch? You need to keep the funds in the account for at least a year.
So, why should you care? Well, if you've been thinking about consolidating your investment accounts or your child's 529 plan, this could be a nice little sweetener. Keep in mind that this is a one-time deal for first-time transfers made after April 24, 2023, and before April 30, 2026. Also, while any bonus is great, it's worth noting that the percentage you earn compared to the amount you transfer isn't the highest out there when compared to similar deals. Still, free money is free money, right? Just be sure to consult your tax advisor before jumping in!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
