Citi ThankYou points are about to have one less transfer partner: Aeromexico Rewards. The partnership is ending sometime in early 2026, so you still have some time. But honestly, most of us AwardTrail readers don't need to lose sleep over this.

Why? Because Aeromexico redemptions, even when transferring from ThankYou points, have historically been a pain to book. Award availability is spotty, and the whole process isn't exactly user-friendly. So, while it's technically a devaluation of the ThankYou program, it's a pretty minor one in practice.

Think of it this way: you're losing access to a restaurant that was always booked and had a complicated reservation system anyway. There are plenty of other (and often better) ways to use those ThankYou points, like transferring to other partners such as Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles or Avianca LifeMiles, both of which offer stellar value.
