Alright, awardtrail buddies, listen up! If Peru has been on your bucket list, The Flight Deal has spotted a sweet fare to Lima! The price is showing up on Matrix Airfare Search (a handy tool by ITA Software for finding cheap flights) at around $420.
Now, here's the catch: That price is likely for Basic Economy. This usually means extra fees for things like choosing your seat or bringing a full-size carry-on, so factor that into your budget. But hey, if you're traveling light and just want to get there for cheap, it's an amazing deal!
The Flight Deal suggests taking the dates you find in Matrix and using them to book on the airline's website. It's important because booking directly with the airline offers better protection in case of delays or cancellations. Plus, you can ensure you get all those valuable points and miles!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
