Hey AwardTrail blazers! Southwest is dropping some serious savings with a brand-new promo code offering up to 30% off base fares. Whether you're paying with cash or burning those hard-earned Rapid Rewards points, this deal is worth checking out if you're planning domestic travel within the continental U.S.
Here's the deal: You need to book by January 8, 2026, so you have plenty of time to plan. Both one-way and round-trip flights are eligible in Basic and Choice fare classes. The magic word is the promo code, which you'll find on AwardWallet's blog.
Why does this matter to you? Well, saving 30% on Southwest flights is like finding money on the ground! It means more trips for less, stretching your travel budget further. Plus, if you're a Rapid Rewards points enthusiast, this is a fantastic way to maximize the value of your points. Happy travels!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
