Venmo Stash: Is This Rewards Program Worth Your Attention?
Published on November 11, 2025, 9:02 PM
Venmo's throwing its hat into the rewards ring with a new program called "Venmo Stash," and it might be worth a peek! Basically, you can choose from different bundles of merchants (like McDonald's, TikTok, Uber, and Uber Eats), and earn extra cashback on purchases. The base rate is 1% cashback, but it can jump to 2% if you enable auto-reloads to your Venmo account and skyrockets to 5% if you set up direct deposit. Now, here's the deal: The maximum cashback you can earn is $100 per month. Whether this is worthwhile really depends on your spending habits. If you're already heavily using these merchants and are comfortable setting up auto-reloads or direct deposits to Venmo, then free money is free money! However, remember to compare this to what your current credit cards offer – you might be leaving even *more* rewards on the table if your existing cards already offer bonus categories that cover these same merchants. Don't forget to consider the opportunity cost!
