Ritz-Carlton Card Perk Getting a Makeover: Free Lounge Guests No Longer Unlimited
Published on December 12, 2025, 9:03 PM
Heads up, Ritz-Carlton credit cardholders! Chase just announced a change to lounge access perks, and it's hitting on January 15, 2026. The big news is that unlimited free guests at Chase Sapphire Lounges and Priority Pass lounges are going away.
Starting in 2026, you'll only be able to bring in two guests for free. After that, each additional guest will cost you $27. You'll also need to show your physical Ritz-Carlton card or your Priority Pass Digital Membership card to get in. This matters because if you're used to rolling into lounges with a big group, your pre-flight relaxation is about to get a little pricier. It's worth noting that this only affects access through the Priority Pass Select membership you get from the card, not any other lounge access you might have.
It's also got some people wondering if Chase will start charging annual fees for authorized users on the Ritz-Carlton card, since limiting guest access can reduce the value of adding them. Something to keep an eye on! In the meantime, if you're looking for cards with great lounge access, now is a good time to compare your options before these changes kick in.
