Heads up, deal hunters! United has a sweet fare to Manila, Philippines, going for around $1,027. What makes this deal extra special? It's not a bare-bones basic economy ticket! You actually get two checked bags included, plus your standard carry-on. That's a major win if you're planning to bring back a ton of pasalubong (gifts) or need the extra luggage space for a longer trip.
Why should you care? Airlines are notorious for nickel-and-diming you with extra fees, especially for baggage. This United deal lets you avoid those pesky charges, making your trip to Manila significantly more affordable, especially if you know you will need the checked bags. More money for delicious Filipino food!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
