Chase Extends "Pay Yourself Back": Keep Cashing in Those Points!
Published on January 11, 2026, 9:26 PM
Heads up, Chase cardholders! The super useful "Pay Yourself Back" feature is sticking around until at least March 2026. This is awesome news because it lets you redeem your Chase Ultimate Rewards points for statement credits on purchases in specific categories, giving you more flexibility with your points. If you've got a Chase Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, or an Ink business card (like the Ink Business Preferred), or even airline cards like the United, Southwest, or Aeroplan cards, this applies to you! Basically, instead of just transferring points to airlines or hotels, you can use them to "erase" everyday purchases, turning your rewards into cold, hard cash (or at least a statement credit!). Keep an eye on which categories are eligible, as they can change from time to time. Why does this matter? Well, flexibility is king (or queen!) in the rewards world. Maybe you don't have immediate travel plans, or perhaps you'd rather offset some business expenses. "Pay Yourself Back" gives you that option, making your Chase points even more valuable. So, keep racking up those points and strategize how you'll use them over the next couple of years!
