Discover Wants to Help You Vanish (Online, At Least!)
Published on November 19, 2025, 9:00 PM
Discover is rolling out a new, free tool called "Online Privacy Protection" that could be a game-changer if you're concerned about your personal information floating around the internet. Basically, it helps you remove your data from several popular people-search websites. Think BeenVerified, Intellius, Yellowpages.com, and a few others. Why should you care? Well, these people-search sites collect and display personal information, like your address, phone number, and even family members. This can be a privacy risk and potentially lead to unwanted attention or even identity theft. The best part? It's automatic! Once you activate the service (it's being rolled out over the next few weeks), it will automatically search these sites every 90 days and request the removal of your information. It's like having a personal privacy assistant working in the background. The program is set to end January 15, 2026. So, if you're a Discover customer, keep an eye out for this feature and take advantage of it! It's a simple way to take back some control over your online presence.
