Bilt Cardholders Rejoice: Points on Mortgages Coming Soon!

Big news for Bilt Rewards fans! Starting February 7, 2026, Bilt cardholders will be able to earn points on their mortgage payments, no matter who their mortgage provider is. This exciting update is part of the "Bilt Card 2.0" launch, which includes a shift from Wells Fargo to Cardless as the card issuer and the introduction of three new card options: a no-annual-fee card, a $95 annual fee card, and a premium $495 annual fee card.
Existing cardholders can choose their preferred card version in early January 2026, and the transition is designed to be seamless, with no credit pull, the same card number, and uninterrupted autopay and digital wallet functionality. While the Wells Fargo Bilt card will no longer be available for new applications after today, current holders can either keep it as a Wells Fargo Autograph Visa or close it. One thing to note: the new Cardless card will appear as a new account on your credit report, potentially impacting your 5/24 status (if you're chasing Chase cards).
While the ability to earn points on mortgage payments is a fantastic addition, details like the earning rate and any potential caps are still under wraps. It's likely the premium card will offer a more lucrative earning rate on mortgage payments than the other tiers. So, while the excitement is justified, it's best to temper expectations until the full details are revealed in January 2026.
