The Mexican government has officially opened the new Tulum International Airport (TQO). Why is this a big deal? Previously, getting to Tulum meant flying into Cancun (CUN), which is about a 1.5 - 2 hour drive away. Now, you can fly directly into Tulum, saving you precious vacation time and those sometimes-sketchy transfer costs. Keep an eye out for introductory flight deals to TQO as airlines ramp up service to the new airport! Less travel time = more time sipping margaritas on the beach, right?
