Heads up, award travelers! Air France-KLM's Flying Blue program is still running its status match offer, and it's worth a look if you've got elite status with another airline. Basically, they'll give you Flying Blue elite status (which means SkyTeam elite status) for 12 months if you can prove you already have status with a competing airline.
Why should you care? Well, SkyTeam includes airlines like Delta, Air France, KLM, and more. So, matched status gets you perks like lounge access, priority boarding, extra baggage allowance, and better seating on those airlines. Think smoother travels and a more comfortable experience, especially if you fly SkyTeam partners often.
The offer has been around for a while, but it's still valid. If you've been putting it off, now's the time to jump on it. Having SkyTeam Elite status in your back pocket can be a real game-changer for your next international adventure. Check out the AwardWallet Blog post for the full list of eligible airlines and how to apply!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
