Hey awardtrail blazers! Got your passport ready? There's a sweet deal popping up for flights from New York City (NYC) to Basel, Switzerland (BSL) for around $635 roundtrip in regular economy.
Now, why should you care? Basel is a fantastic city straddling the borders of France and Germany, offering a unique cultural experience. Plus, scoring a roundtrip flight for that price is pretty darn good, freeing up more of your travel budget for things like cheese fondue and chocolate (priorities, people!). To find these prices, The Flight Deal recommends using Matrix Airfare Search by ITA Software, which helps you pinpoint the cheapest dates.
Keep in mind that these deals never last forever, so if Switzerland is on your bucket list, it's time to start searching and see if you can snag this fare! Don't forget to experiment with dates and airlines to find what works best for your travel style. Happy travels!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
