Heads up, deal hunters! If you've been eyeing a trip to Ho Chi Minh City (and The Flight Deal just posted a tempting fare!), there's some great news on the visa front. Vietnam has rolled out a brand new e-Visa system, and it's a total game-changer for tourists.
Previously, getting a Vietnamese visa could be a bit of a hassle, involving paperwork, embassies, and sometimes even a visa on arrival process. But now, you can apply for your visa online from the comfort of your couch! This simplifies the entire process, saving you time and stress.
Why does this matter? Well, beyond the convenience, this new e-Visa system is also likely to be more affordable than previous methods. This potentially saves you money that you can then spend on delicious pho or exploring ancient temples! So, if Vietnam's been on your bucket list, now's the time to start planning – and snag that e-Visa ASAP!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
