Okay, awardtrail friends, listen up! There's a sweet deal popping up for flights to Tromsø, Norway – that prime location for seeing the Northern Lights! You can potentially snag a roundtrip ticket for as low as $419.
Now, here's the catch: that rock-bottom price is usually for Basic Economy. So, you'll probably have to pay extra for things like checked bags and seat selection. Use Matrix Airfare Search by ITA Software to find the cheapest dates, then book directly with the airline.
Why should you care? Tromsø is EXPENSIVE. Finding a flight deal like this can make a huge difference in your overall trip cost, letting you splurge on those amazing Northern Lights tours or some delicious Norwegian food. If seeing the Aurora Borealis has been on your bucket list, now might be the time to start planning!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
