Hilton Points Alert: Are Prices Going Back Down (Just a Little)?
Published on October 29, 2025, 10:04 PM
Heads up, Hilton Honors fans! Remember that points devaluation (when your points become worth less) that stung so many of us earlier this year? Well, there might be a tiny glimmer of good news. Hilton seems to be *slightly* walking back some of those price increases, reducing the number of points needed for stays at a handful of properties. Now, don't get too excited. This isn't a massive reversal of fortune. We're talking about a small number of hotels where the points prices have decreased, and it's a far cry from undoing the multiple devaluations we've seen over the years. Hilton got rid of their award chart, so it is hard to keep track of the changes. Prices went from 90,000 in 2017 to 250,000 in 2025. Why does this matter to you? It's a reminder to always compare points prices with cash prices before you book. Just because you *can* use points doesn't mean you *should*. Keep an eye on your favorite Hilton hotels and see if their points costs have budged. Every little bit helps, right?
