Chase Ultimate Rewards is currently offering an 80% transfer bonus when you convert your points to IHG One Rewards points. That means for every 1,000 Chase points you transfer, you'll get 1,800 IHG points instead of the usual 1,000. This offer is valid until October 22, 2025.

So, should you jump on this? Probably not. While an 80% bonus sounds tempting, IHG points are often available for purchase at a rate of around 0.5 cents per point (or even less during special promotions). Because of this, it rarely makes sense to transfer your valuable Chase points when you can simply buy IHG points outright for a similar or better price.

Why does this matter to you? As a savvy traveler, you want to maximize the value of your rewards points. This offer highlights the importance of doing your research and comparing options before transferring points. Just because there is a bonus attached does not automatically make it the most lucrative option available. Always crunch the numbers to ensure you're getting the best possible deal!
