IHG Rewards Card Bonuses are Back! Is Now the Time to Apply?
Published on October 9, 2025, 9:54 PM
Chase and IHG are offering some boosted signup bonuses on their IHG Rewards credit cards, but act fast because these offers may be ending soon! If you're an IHG loyalist or just looking to rack up some hotel points, this could be a great opportunity. The IHG Premier card (with a $99 annual fee) is offering 165,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months. The IHG Traveler card (no annual fee) is offering two free nights (each worth up to 50,000 points) plus 40,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 in the same timeframe. Why should you care? These elevated offers can jumpstart your points balance and get you closer to free nights at IHG hotels. The Premier card also comes with perks like automatic Platinum Elite status, a free night certificate each year, and a Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credit, potentially making the $99 annual fee well worth it if you use those benefits. The no-fee Traveler card is a solid option if you want to dip your toes into IHG rewards without the commitment of an annual fee, especially with the unique two free night offer. Keep in mind a couple of things: you're not eligible for the bonus if you currently have an IHG personal card or have received a new cardmember bonus on *any* IHG personal card in the past 24 months. Also, Chase's 5/24 rule applies (meaning you won't be approved if you've opened five or more credit cards in the past 24 months). While these offers aren't quite as flashy as the 5-free-night deal we saw earlier this year, they're still worth considering if you're looking to boost your IHG points balance, especially the no-fee Traveler card given the structure of its bonus.
