Hey awardtrail buddies! Dreaming of Hawaiian sunsets without emptying your wallet? Listen up! There's a sweet deal popping up for flights to Kona (KOA) on the Big Island, pricing out around $689 for regular economy tickets.
The Flight Deal spotted this gem using the ITA Matrix Airfare Search (a handy tool for finding the best flight prices, if you're not familiar). The trick is to find the dates you want on ITA Matrix, then use those exact dates to book directly with the airline or your favorite online travel agency.
Why should you care? Well, Hawaii is usually pretty pricey, especially direct to Kona. Grabbing flights for under $700 is a steal, leaving you more cash for Mai Tais, shave ice, and exploring volcanic landscapes! Time to dust off that Hawaiian shirt and get booking!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
