Heads up, deal hunters! Groupon is running a promotion that could save you some serious cash on a Costco membership. You can snag a new Costco Gold Star or Executive membership at the regular price ($65 or $130 respectively) and get a bonus $100 off a future $200+ purchase on Costco.com. It's basically getting paid to join Costco!
This is a fantastic deal if you've been thinking about joining Costco, or if your membership lapsed at least 18 months ago. The $100 coupon has some restrictions – it can't be used for new memberships, renewals, gift cards, or services like Costco Travel. But if you're planning a decent-sized online purchase anyway, it's practically free money. Just make sure to use the code before it expires on November 9, 2025!
To maximize your savings, use a shopping portal like Shopback when purchasing the Groupon. You might be able to earn an additional percentage back on your purchase, making this deal even sweeter. Deals like this don't last forever, so don't wait if you're interested!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
