Heads up, SkyTeam flyers! Big news coming out of the alliance – starting April 2025, if you're an Elite Plus member, you can now access select SkyTeam lounges even when flying domestically. That's right, your status can get you into some swanky lounges even if you're just hopping between cities within a country. This is a welcome change because previously, lounge access with SkyTeam was mainly reserved for international itineraries. Now, whether you're a Delta Diamond Medallion (or the equivalent on another SkyTeam airline) you can relax before your flight in over 70 lounges worldwide, even if that flight is from New York to Chicago! It's always nice to have a quiet space and maybe a free drink before your flight, right? What does this mean for you? If you're already a SkyTeam Elite Plus member, this is pure upside. More lounge access means more opportunities to enjoy the perks you've earned. It also means that if you're close to earning Elite Plus status, this could be another great reason to push for it! Think of it as a nice little bonus to make your domestic travels a bit more comfortable.
