Citi and American Airlines are Teaming Up for a New Credit Card!
Published on October 17, 2025, 9:49 PM
Citi and American Airlines are about to drop a brand-new credit card into the AAdvantage lineup! Citi's CEO spilled the beans during an earnings call, hinting at a "mid-tier" card designed to "innovate the travel experience" and unlock "premium benefits." Right now, Citi offers the no-fee MileUp card, the $99/year Platinum Select, and the premium $595/year Executive card. This new card will likely slot in between those last two, with an annual fee somewhere in the $195-$295 range. Why should you care? Well, this could be your chance to snag some sweet new perks with American Airlines without shelling out for the super-expensive Executive card. Think bonus miles on everyday spending, priority boarding, or even lounge access at a more reasonable price point. Keep an eye out for more details soon – this could be a game-changer for your next AAdvantage strategy!
