Hey award trail blazers! Got a stash of United MileagePlus miles you're not sure what to do with? For the rest of November, United and Marriott are offering a limited-time bonus for RewardsPlus members. If you have United Premier Silver status or higher, you can transfer your United miles to Marriott Bonvoy points and get a 20% bonus!
Normally, you get one Marriott point for every United mile you transfer (a 1:1 ratio). But with this promo, you'll get 1.2 Marriott points for every United mile you send over. Why does this matter? Well, if you're sitting on a pile of United miles and need to top off your Marriott account for a dream hotel stay, this is an easy way to get more bang for your buck.
Keep in mind you need at least Premier Silver status to take advantage of this offer. If you don't qualify, now is your reason to boost your status. Be sure to check your accounts and see if this transfer makes sense for your upcoming travel plans. Happy travels!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
