Heads up, Alaska Airlines flyers! AwardWallet Blog reports that Alaska is seriously stepping up its Wi-Fi game. Right now, they offer free texting, streaming entertainment, and reasonably priced internet on most flights. But the real news is coming in 2026: free Starlink Wi-Fi for Atmos Rewards members!
Why should you care? Well, Starlink Wi-Fi is known for being much faster and more reliable than the current options. Think smoother streaming, quicker downloads, and overall less frustration when you're trying to stay connected in the air. Plus, who doesn't love free Wi-Fi?
This is a major perk for anyone loyal to Alaska. While 2026 might seem far away, it's worth considering if you're choosing between airlines. Start planning how you can take advantage of free inflight Wifi - this could change your travel experience!
Why This Matters for Your Strategy
News in the points-and-miles world moves fast, and promotional changes often have a short window. If this announcement affects a card or program you hold, log into your awardtrail dashboard to check your current benefit usage, bonus progress, and whether a transfer or redemption makes sense right now — before terms change.
As a general rule: transfer points only when you have a specific redemption in mind — transfers are almost always one-way and non-reversible. If you're unsure of the value, check our redemption guides before acting.
