Bilt Card Revamp: Earn Points on Your Mortgage and Three New Card Options Coming Soon!

Big news for Bilt cardholders! Bilt is switching from Wells Fargo to Cardless as their card issuer and launching three new card versions on February 7, 2026: a no-annual-fee card, a $95 annual fee card, and a premium $495 annual fee card. Existing cardholders can pick their preferred version in early January 2026, and the good news is, the switch won't involve a credit check. Plus, your card number, autopay setups, digital wallet info, and existing Bilt points will all seamlessly transfer over.
But the real kicker? Starting February 7th, 2026, you'll be able to earn Bilt points on mortgage payments—a game-changer since you could previously only earn on rent! While the exact earning rates and any potential caps haven't been revealed yet, it's safe to assume the more premium cards will offer better rewards on those mortgage payments. Keep in mind that because the new Cardless card is technically a new account, it WILL count towards your 5/24 status with Chase (the number of new credit cards opened in the past 24 months). Your old Bilt card will convert to a Wells Fargo Autograph card. If you're strategic about your credit card applications, this is something to consider!
